Jonne Valtonen

Managing Director and Principal Composer

Jonne Valtonen is a composer specializing in orchestral music and game audio. His music has been performed in concert halls around the world, from the London Symphony Orchestra to the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Valtonen's career began in the 1990s in the demoscene culture under the name Purple Motion with the Future Crew group. After studying classical composition at Pirkanmaa University of Applied Sciences, he has built an international career, composing music for the world's leading symphony orchestras.

Valtonen has composed music for numerous video games in collaboration with gaming companies including Namco, Sega, Remedy Entertainment, Housemarque, Colossal Order, and Sandbox Interactive. His notable works include Cities: Skylines 1 & 2, Albion Online, Mobile Suit Gundam: Side Stories, and Street Fighter V. His extensive portfolio also includes arrangements for symphony orchestras worldwide.

Valtonen has won the Finnish Game Audio Awards twice, recognizing his exceptional expertise in the field of game music.

Timo Haanpää

Chief Recording Engineer

With over two decades of experience, Timo Haanpää is Valtone Oy's Chief Recording Engineer. He is a seasoned recording engineer, mixing engineer, composer, arranger, and producer. Also a skilled guitarist, Timo's versatility spans numerous genres—from folk, hard rock, and reggae to electronic music and Finnish dance music.

Timo began his career in audio in the late 1990s when he built his first studio together with Jonne Valtonen. His work can be heard on numerous international releases, reflecting collaborations with diverse artists, from Kurdish singers to international rappers. Many of his mixes have garnered millions of streams, such as this track.

At the core of Timo's studio work is the creative process, and his principle is to always strive for an end result that exceeds expectations. His expertise, which extends from traditional band music to modern electronic production, is always applied to enhance the artist's original vision.
